Privacy Policy Statement

Drew Price Engineering Pty Ltd ("DPE") is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988. The main requirements of the Privacy Act are set out in the National Privacy Principles where it determines how an organization such as DPE should collect, use, keep, secure and disclose of personal information. A copy of this document is held in the office and is also available to be viewed on the Internet at www.privacy.gov.au.

This statement sets out DPE's policy in Australia for handling personal information collected when dealing with its clients and business partners.

Collection and Use

DPE collects, and will continue to collect, personal information such as individual's name, address, email address, contact details, as a result of, and in connection with, an ongoing business relationship. DPE may use or disclose the information collected for each and any of the following purposes:

· Performing administrative tasks and functions
· Telling people about the products and services of DPE
· Providing services to people in relation to the products and services
· Helping to develop products and services that may be of interest to people, including any research and development required
· Registration and warranty of products
· Building and maintaining relationships with people

IMPORTANT: Please note that unless and until any person tells DPE that they do not consent to the use and disclosure of their personal information in the manner described, DPE will be acting on the basis that consent to such use and disclosure is implied.

It should be noted however, that even without consent, DPE is entitled to use and disclose the personal information collected in various circumstances, including for the primary purpose for which the personal information was collected (subject to any separate legal restrictions that may be imposed).

Every effort will be made to collect personal information directly from the person concerned. If personal information is obtained from other sources, then the individual will be notified.

DPE will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means, and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner. Personal information is not collected unless it is necessary for the company's functions and activities. All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure this information is kept up-to-date and accurate.

All care will be taken to collect data that cannot be used in a prejudicial way with respect to race, religion or beliefs.

Personal information collected will be secured from unauthorized use. Data stored on magnetic media can only be accessed via password protected means, and records on paper are filed in an area not open to public access.

Personal information kept on paper will be shredded if at any time it is to be disposed of, and reasonable effort would be made to permanently de-identify personal information stored on magnetic media. (ie rewrite before deletion)

Personal information will be accessible to the individual if requested, to have the opportunity of updating and correcting, unless particular circumstances apply that allow limited access such as emergency situations, specified business imperatives and law enforcement, or other public interests.

Disclosure of personal Information

DPE in using personal information for the above purposes may need to disclose personal information to various organizations and/or parties such as Australian taxation Office, or organizations and/or parties in a foreign country where for example, this disclosure is necessary for the performance of contracted services in the interest of the individual.

DPE may also disclose information in special cases when DPE in good faith believe that such action is reasonably necessary, for example, to conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process, protect and defend DPE's rights or property, enforce DPE's contractual arrangements or act to protect the interest of DPE's clients.

Personal information will not be disclosed to other sources unless there has been authorisation by the individual, or it is required by law.

Personal Information Security

DPE exercises great care to protect information you provide to us. We take all reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold about you from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We have a range of physical and technology policies in place to provide a robust security environment. We ensure the on-going adequacy of these measures by regularly reviewing them.
Our security measures include, but are not limited to:

· restricting access to our computer systems and physical records to authorised persons and preventing users from accessing information they have no need to access;
· requiring employees to use unique passwords to gain access to systems;
· employing firewalls, intrusion detection systems and virus scanning tools to prevent unauthorized persons and viruses from entering our system.

If you are providing personal information to DPE, a DPE request that you take all necessary steps to ensure that it is accurate, complete and up todate.
